term 3 reflection

Term reflection

This term we have had a lot of things on like bowls, film festival, speeches, and many more. This is my reflection on this term.

 Speeches
Halfway through the term, we had speeches. Everyone in the class had to write a speech about a topic they wanted to do. I did mine about the New Zealand Warriors and how they will never win an NRL premiership. Then we read them out to the class and the teacher decided who goes to finals. Then two people went to Rotary from our school. I think I could have made it to finals if my time was longer.

 Film festival

Start of the term we did a film festival. The film festival is when you get into groups and make a 2-minute movie about whatever you want. My group movie was saving blue penguins. My group was Archie, Payton, Kade, and I. We started recording and we were nearly done then me and my group made a stoat box and we couldn't decide on a color. Kade left the group which left Payton Archie and I. We restarted and finished and the movie was great. I think it would've been better if Kade stayed.

Bowls

At the start of term, we had bowls. Every Tuesday we would go to the hall and do bowls. Bowls is when you put a white ball on the mat and there are two teams and you try to get the black ball closest to the white ball. I had a lot of fun doing this. I wanted to do it every time. I wish I could hit the white ball again.

 Reading

This term we started reciprocal reading. Reciprocal reading is where you get in a group and choose what job you want to do. There is a leader, reader and more. so when you got your job the reader would choose who reads and then everyone did their job. Reciprocal reading was really fun. If I could change one thing I would have wanted the reader again.

At Wellington camp

At Wellington camp

At wellington, we went to adrenalin forest and it was a challenging moving clips on high levels walking over logs and rope high in the trees I enjoyed getting to the end of level because it would give me the confidence to go to next level and you got to zip line down. Going really high in trees  I learned that I can push myself to do harder stuff. After that, we went to the zoo and saw bears tiger elephant and kangaroo which was cool.

Staying in a hotel is better than camping

staying in a hotel  is better than camping

Camping and hotel both places you can stay in. these are my reasons why staying in a hotel is better than camping.

Argument 1. Firstly if you stay in a hotel there are heaters so you won't freeze. But if your outside camping you will freeze no heaters just a sleeping bag, Oslo when your outside camping mosquitoes will suck your blood. If you don't have a waterproof tent you will get drenched and freeze if it's raining.

Argument 2. When you're out camping there is no shower if there is it's not gonna be heated water so its cold but if you go to a hotel you will have a shower with heated water. and camping there's no soup unless you brought your own. in a hotel most of the time soup is provided. When your camping there's no toilets so you go in the bush and if you didn't bring toilet paper you use a leaf. In a hotel, you have a toilet and toilet paper should be provided.

Argument 3. In a hotel, you are usually close to a town so you can go shopping and go out for tea if your camping you cook your food on campfire witch would be beans or eggs if you brought a pan.

In conclusion, staying in a hotel is a fun place to stay but if you want to go camping that's cool too.
